LGcommunications conference 2010

26th - 28th May, The Rose Bowl in Leeds

It has never been more important to deliver better value for money on public services. These testing times require changes to our working practices, from taking the lead and shouldering more responsibility to unifying public service communications.

In response to these challenges, LGcommunications invites you to the 2010 national conference, which
will be held from 26th to 28th May in Leeds. We bring you a strong conference programme to support
you in taking a leadership role in your organisation, delivering on value for money communications
and shaping the future of public sector communications.

Each session targets specific challenges faced by public sector communications teams in 2010.
Key note speeches will cover:

• leading communities in challenging times
• changing behaviours through marketing
• using social marketing to engage with partners and staff.

At the conference we will also launch the LGcomms Reputation Campaign and make our new tool
kit available to delegates.

The LGA-LGcomms Reputation Awards will be a further highlight of our conference programme.
Recognising best practice communications across 15 categories, the awards ceremony will take
place at the magnificent Leeds Town Hall on 27th May.
