LGinsight event: Improving community engagement

This event aims to show you how to better help and support your communities. It will investigate the need to move from consultation to conversation and how to make residents feel empowered and have increased trust.

There will be a case study from a Parish Council showing how they are set up and how communicators can help and support them.

This event is tailored for officers who wish to understand the fundamentals of local public service communications.

This seminar will look at what organisations are doing to have two-way conversations with their customers using digital. Are council apps the way forward? Do we need to have prepared lists of FAQ's? Or does it require specialised digital media teams to firefight on twitter and facebook.
