Delivering more insight and less benchmarks

For too long local government research has focused on government targets and benchmarking performance rather than understanding why people feel or act the way they do.  A new think tank, LGinsight, will change all this by challenging researchers to prove how their data can be used to deliver good decisions and positive outcomes.

The focus of LGinsight will be public opinion research through market research and consultation.  There will be a clear drive in terms of ensuring that such research is of a high quality and interpreted correctly.  Contributions will be discussed and evaluated online, at meetings and in written reports.
