LGinsight is being established as a sister organisation to LGcommunications. The prelimarily set-up stage is until the May 2011 LGcommunications conference in Nottingham. Until that date membership of LGinsight will be free for all LGcommunications members. If your organisation is an LGcommunications member contact kpatterson@westminster.gov.uk to register your interest.
Registering will give you exclusive access to our email updates, free entry to events, eligibility to enter awards, as well as the opportunity to work on the Commissions of Enquiry and help develop LGinsight further. This includes eligibility to join the LGinsight Executive Committee. As with LGcommunications membership of LGinsight is open to all local authorities, national and regional local authority association and other local government bodies, including all public authorities that work with communities in the UK and Ireland covering police, fire, health and economic development and regional functions.
Membership of LGinsight is £100 for non-members of LGcommunications. In May 2011 this charge will also apply to members of LGcommunications by which time we aim to show members the value of the organisation and have a series of exclusive events and activities planned. By paying one membership fee on behalf of your organisation, your colleagues gain equal access to the benefits of membership.
If you are not able, or do not want, to be a member of LGinsight we would still welcome contributions to our Commissions of Enquiry and other activities. This in particular includes market research and other private sector companies. We would also be open to discussions of sponsorship of events, awards and other activities.
