Top local government communications teams from across the country have been recognised at this year's prestigious annual LGcommunications Reputation Awards.
The awards seek to recognise local authorities that have demonstrated outstanding communications work to help improve council reputation throughout the year.
Public sector organisations have been recognised across 15 categories including excellence in media relations, internal communications, excellent value for money services and digital communications.
Councils this year were also judged on three new categories, crisis management, next generation- which recognises young communicators- and partnership work.
The winners were formally announced at the annual LGcomms conference in Leeds (Thursday, 27 May)
LGcommunications represents local authority communication departments across the UK and Ireland and aims to promote and extend best practice in public services communications.
