New digital communication platforms and a fragmented media landscape mean reaching your audience requires more precision. As organic reach becomes harder to achieve, targeting is increasingly important to keep costs down.
Sophisticated market research tools enable you to identify and understand your audience, but not all communicators in the public sector has access to these tools. This workshop introduces the principles of targeting and freely available data that enables you to do basic audience segmentation, as well as introducing paid-for tools.
From millennials to silver surfers, you will learn how to use meaningful audience groups that can be used to plan effective campaigns that meet their objectives. You will hear from people with expertise in using data to create insight and communicators with experience of delivering successful campaigns.
