Video Skills

Using a smartphone to produce good-quality video content

Date: Wednesday 13th September

Venue: The Grand Hotel, York

Time: 9.30am-4.30pm

This practical session will show you how you can use just a smartphone to produce some good quality video content. We’ll look at some of the various apps available and the additional kit that will help you get the best out of your smartphone.

We’ll then turn our attention to basic filming techniques before we head out into the city of York to do some filming. When we return to base, we’ll look at basic editing and post production.

Who is the seminar aimed at?

Attendees should already have a smartphone and be familiar with its basic settings and operation. They may already have an interest in film making, but are ready to take the next step to further develop their skills and abilities.

What will attendees need to bring?

Attendees will need to have their own smartphone and be willing to pay for, and load apps onto their device. The seminar will focus on Apple devices, but Android users will be most welcome.

Are there any restrictions?

The seminar on 13 September is currently restricted to ten places.

You can register for the York seminar now.

More dates available

Due to high demand we'll also be running this event in London and in Birmingham to give everyone the chance to get along to this valuable seminar.

Dates and locations for these two additional seminars will be released shortly.
