Recruiting more foster carers is the perennial marketing challenge for most local authorities, but it’s now more important than ever.

Getting it right has a huge win-win outcome for both children's lives and under-pressure council finances. Many councils report that placing a child or young person with an independent fostering agency (IFA) can often cost twice as much as an in-house placement. This can add up to hundreds of thousands of pounds each year at a time when every penny counts.

In this interactive seminar, we will take an in-depth look at what effective foster carer recruitment looks like. A range of speakers will share their insight, experience and learning from all aspects of the process from running marketing campaigns through to how to manage enquiries effectively and drive up conversion rates.

How can we out compete the IFAs to attract new foster carers? What’s the role of search advertising? How best to use paid for and organic social media? This event is all about sharing your thoughts, ideas and tips, to help continuously improve how individually and collectively councils unlock this common challenge.
